JSW Extruders has been awarded for the production of LDPE by Sasol

Japan Steel Works, Ltd. (Representative Director and President : Mr. Ikuo Sato) has been awarded by Sasol the extruder package for its low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant under construction near Westlake, Louisiana, USA. The JSW extruder is used in the production of LDPE which is one of the downstream derivative plants in Sasol's new petrochemical complex utilizing ethane gas. The plant capacity is 420 KTA and uses ExxonMobil's tubular process technology. JSW will deliver the single screw extruder with 700 mm screw diameter, which is the largest single screw extruder we have ever manufactured. This is the first extruder award for projects indirectly sourcing shale gas and we are looking for further opportunities in mainly North America area. Beneficial operation of Sasol's petrochemical complex is expected in 2018.
